We're currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Level 3 System Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview
This full-time, in-office role is ideal for a seasoned IT professional with over 10 years of hands-on experience in advanced systems engineering within an MSP environment. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows Server administration, networking, Azure cloud services, and virtualization platforms. In addition to leading complex technical initiatives, this individual will mentor junior technicians and act as a senior technical resource within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructures, including servers, networks, and system integrations.
- Windows Server Administration: Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, and security settings.
- Enterprise Networking: Develop and support scalable networking solutions (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, routing).
- Azure Cloud Management: Configure and manage Azure environments, virtual machines, storage, networking, and associated services.
- Virtualization Expertise: Administer and optimize virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) for performance and scalability.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to junior technicians, fostering growth and technical development.
- Troubleshooting & Resolution: Tackle complex technical issues, conduct root cause analyses, and deliver lasting solutions.
Core Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience with a strong focus on Windows Server environments, Azure, networking, and virtualization.
- Deep knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows security practices.
- Proficiency in enterprise networking and cloud infrastructure design and deployment.
- Expertise in virtualization technologies including VMware and/or Hyper-V.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring IT staff and leading by example.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills for resolving high-level technical issues.
