Position Overview:
The Technology Alignment Manager (TAM) plays a critical role in bridging technical execution with strategic business outcomes for our MSP clients. This client-facing role is responsible for proactively aligning client environments with industry best practices, security standards, and operational frameworks. The TAM conducts regular technology assessments, ensures documentation accuracy, reduces reactive issues, and works hand-in-hand with the vCIO to drive client technology roadmaps.
Key Responsibilities:

Technology Alignment & Assessments:

Conduct regularly scheduled assessments using the MSPs risk/security/compliance (RSC) toolset.

Identify gaps in client environments and align them to technical and operational best practices.

Collaborate with internal teams to remediate misalignments and reduce technical debt.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders, acting as their trusted technical advisor.

Conduct monthly or quarterly onsite visits or virtual check-ins to review alignment progress and key findings.

Collaborate with vCIOs to present findings and recommendations during Technology Business Reviews (TBRs).

Documentation & Asset Management:

Ensure client documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and audit-ready.

Maintain CMDBs, network diagrams, hardware/software inventories, and access controls.

Process & Ticket Optimization:

Work closely with service desk and NOC teams to identify recurring issues and recommend preventive actions.

Recommend automation, process improvements, or service adjustments to reduce ticket volume.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

Coordinate with onboarding, projects, and centralized services to maintain consistency across the client lifecycle.

Assist with implementation of new technologies, infrastructure upgrades, and compliance initiatives.

Strategic Initiatives:

Support the development of long-term IT strategies and technology roadmaps with the vCIO.

Evaluate and recommend software, hardware, or security upgrades to minimize business risk.

Qualifications:
-
3+ years in a client-facing technical role within an MSP environment.

Strong experience with Microsoft environments (Active Directory, O365, Group Policy).

Familiarity with network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, switches, wireless).

Comfortable working with RMM tools, PSA systems, and documentation platforms.

Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and compliance frameworks.

Exceptional communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to manage multiple clients and priorities in a fast-paced MSP setting.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using tools like IT Glue, ConnectWise, N-able, or Liongard.

Technical certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.) are a plus.

Experience conducting technology business reviews or assessments.
